Upon completion of her studies in Fine Art at Liverpool Polytechnic, Christine moved to the North East, became a founder member of the Sunderland Arts Club and established herself as a leading artist in the region, exhibiting at all the major galleries, museums and Arts Centres. With her commitment to taking her art into the community, Christine held several prestigious appointments, including artist in residence at Wrekenton Library, Gateshead, and as Artist in School at school projects in Sunderland and Consett with Acorn Trust. Returning to Liverpool in 2000 she continued to develop her own work as well as developing a series of art workshops for children and young people in Liverpool and Sefton.
The art works on display, which were inspired by the landscape of Andalucia are based on paper, but combine a variety of media including drawing, painting and collage together with strong vibrant colour to re-create the sensation of temperature and time of day
